WHAT WE TALK ABOUT WHEN WE TALK ABOUT MUSIC is an artistic & scientific documentary which takes us from the studios of some of today’s most prominent Norwegian musicians (Aurora Aksnes, Kjetil Møster, Jonas Benyoub) and way back to the early stages of human evolution where the physiological, mental and psychological foundation for our love affair with music was laid.

Tid for hjem

Tid for hjem is a Norwegian home renovation TV series that aired on TV 2 from 2004 to 2023. The program is hosted by Kjersti Bergesen. Together with a team of craftsmen, she works to transform worn-out old houses, rooms, and outdoor spaces into something new. The craftsmen include, among others, painter Einar Nilsson.

“The Dream of Greenland” is a Norwegian documentary series that follows Tord Are Meisterplass, who was paralyzed after a skiing accident, in his remarkable attempt to cross the Greenland Ice Sheet in a specially built sled. The series shows the demanding expedition, the brotherhood, and the dramatic turn when they had to abort the journey.

Skuddene på Bergenhus

Short film. After World War II, Einar is imprisoned at Bergenhus, sentenced to death for the crimes he committed during the war. Jakob (12) is given the job of keeping order in the cell corridor where Einar is being held. Jakob himself feels trapped by a father who constantly punishes him. The chief of police and the prison guards keep a close eye on Jakob. Although Jakob is reserved, a friendship develops across the prison cell wall. Jakob needs an adult who truly sees him, and Einar needs someone who cares. But when the day of the execution arrives, Jakob does something that makes his father proud.

Documentary series. Irene is an honest and fearless voice with a uniquely humorous way of reflecting on her own place in Norwegian society. Irene wants to show us that politics really concerns all of us, and aims to encourage as many people as possible to vote in the Norwegian parliamentary election in autumn 2021. Together with a range of Norwegian politicians, Irene will try to understand and explain Norwegian politics in a simple and accessible way.

Short film. Doah lives in a small village in Morocco with her mother. All she wants is to play football with the boys on the local pitch. But because of her unusual ‘skin condition,’ rumors spread that she is cursed with the ‘evil eye,’ causing her to become an outcast in the village.
Together with her mother, she faces hatred and prejudice from the other villagers every day. But when Doah is forced to confront her mother’s vulnerability, she decides to claim her rightful place in the village.

Brothers Anders Neteland and Bjørnar Neteland raise critical questions about the mining project at Engebøfjellet and the permit allowing mining waste to be dumped into Førdefjorden. The man who knew 75 languages

The film is all about the remarkable life of a poor priest’s son; Georg Julius Justus Sauerwein (born 1831 Hanover, died in 1904 Christiania/Oslo) and his life -long love for Princess Elisabeth of Wied, later Queen of Romania. This is a psychological drama about a brilliant but complex man. His humanitarian values were far ahead of his time. In his day, he was the most vilified person in the German press.
